I aimed to capture the understated cleverness found in Atwood’s writing with a strong graphic supported by a simple typographic layout. The combination of a dated, classically-posed portrait of a woman paired with a discarded wrapper reflects Atwood’s exploration of femininity and themes of objectification found within the book.
